Let me start by saying this... High School graduation is WAYYY better than college graduation. Now that I have my certs, all people want to talk about if I have that job yet or not... It hasn't even been a week!!!
OK yes, I am stressing. If I could have a job and a paycheck right now, trust me I'd be doing overtime. But, in these times, the "experts" say its better to just stay in college, rather than try and get a job.
So, I am going to try and do both. I am in a transition program where I will have my RN by May, if I pass my NCLEX in a few weeks :)
OKOK, enough stressing, lets rewind a bit. To July 21st, the day of magical happenings that I had been hoping and praying for in this past year. All my closest friends and family showed up to watch me graduate in my old-school nursing gown and hat. Sneak preview as follows:
Afterwards, we went to the favorite local pizza place |
It was nice, but the real fun began when we went to Lake Livingston up by Huntsville. My parents rented a lake house and we had tons of fun in the sun with good friends.

It was so much fun to be around some of my best friends. Its been a long time since I have seen them, and the weekend truly reflected how close we all are. We picked right up from the last time we saw each other, shared a bottle of Goldschlager with Dad, and stayed up late partying like the good 'ol Tech party days.
Things will be slow now as I start interviewing for new jobs, and start more school, but as soon as something happens, the story will be told.
