I’ve been working on starting one of these blogs for a good year now. My year of LVN school has finally slowed down enough for me to start to contemplate. I think about life a lot, but maybe, just maybe, if I put my thoughts (which are typically irrelevant) to a page I can get some input on my crazy life.
I figure that graduation, or close to it, is a good place to start. I graduate in a week, almost exactly. After the trials and tribulations of this year, I am still emotionally numb to that fact.
Today, we had our exit exam. Apparently I have a 97% chance of passing the NCLEX. How the internet can measure that? I have no clue... Then we all got in our ridiculous garb consisting of a white scrub dress and white nursing cap and white nursing shoes. What did I learn today? Dont eat mexican food the night before you need to fit in a little white dress.... The myths are true, white does make you look fat. Why cant we wear black?
Tomorrow, Friday, I begin my last weekend of three twelve hour shifts. I am in my preceptorship, so basically I get my five patients, and a licensed nurse follows me around and makes sure I don't kill them. I have a clean record so far.
So instead of continuing on and complaining about how hard this past year has been, and all the issues I have going on I think I should just thank Jesus that I have one last hurdle before I graduate and can start my big girl life.
My blog needs a lot of work. But, I am done for the night, so just be patient with me.
All my love.
